Question: What scripture best explains the purpose of baptism?

Answer: There are many scriptures on baptism, but I think Peter best explains it. (I Peter 3:21) There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Question: Is divorce the unpardonable sin? I also heard that God was a divorcee, is this true?

Answer: No... Divorce is not the unpardonable sin and is forgiven upon repentance. But there are certain conditions for divorce. (Matthew 19:5-9) For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?” He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.” Yes God is a divorcee; Spiritually speaking. God divorced Israel. (Jeremiah 3:8) Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also.

Question: Where in the bible can I find the unpardonable sin and what is it?

Answer: The unpardonable sin is to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Many scholars believe that this sin can only be committed if and when you are delivered up to the Anti-Christ. You are not to speak your mind, but you are to let the Holy Spirit speak through you. You do not think that at this time you could hold your own against Satan, do you? (Luke 12:9-12) But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. “And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven. “Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” What hour? The hour of temptation!

Question: Can you tell me where it says that lovers of money are never satisfied?

Answer: This is very common today in our society, we call it greed, and is easy to spot. But you can find this verse in the book of Ecclesiastes. (Ecclesiastes 5:10) He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity.

Question: What exactly did Christ come for in the New Testament?

Answer: Christ came to us as God in the flesh to defeat death through the resurrection so that we may have salvation and eternal life. He came to save the lost. (Matthew 18:11) For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Question: Where in the bible does it say that we should not keep teaching salvation?

Answer: To teach a salvation message is good to new Christians, but to keep teaching salvation to those who have accepted Him and are already saved is like crucifying Him over and over again. (Hebrews 6:6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Question: What are they talking about when they speak of milk and meat of the Word?

Answer: The milk of the bible is the salvation message to babes or beginners, the meat of His Word is when you dig deep into the message of the Word and are taught how to discern truth between good and evil. The meat of the Word is like a college education as compared to an elementary school education. (Hebrews 5:12-14) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Question: Where in the scriptures does it say we should fear the Lord?

Answer: The bible speaks of the fear of the Lord in many places, but In Proverbs it tells us that fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. (Proverbs 1:7) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Question: Can you tell me where it says we are all children of God?

Answer: You can find it in the book of Galatians. We are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ and are all part of the many member body of Christ (Galatians 3:26-29) For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Question: Are Saul and Paul both one in the same and where can I find that Paul was blinded by God? Also did Paul persecute Christians.

Answer: Yes they are the same person. God struck down Paul (Saul) on the road to Damascus. Paul was a Roman soldier and he did persecute Christians before his conversion. Reference: (Acts chapter 9)

Question: Did Judas hang himself after betraying Jesus? I heard that he was killed.

Answer: I believe Judas was killed trying to cover up who actually paid him to betray Christ. (Acts 1:18) Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

Question: Where in the bible does it tell us to beware of traditions of men and what are they?

Answer: Traditions of men are just what it says. The doctrine and false teachings when men put a twist on God's Word. It may be certain beliefs, rituals, ordinances etc. They do not align with God's Word and the teachings of Christ. Always check out this man or any other man or woman with the Word of God. Do not believe in old wise tales and traditions. They mean nothing to the Heavenly Father. (Colossians 2:8) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Colossians 2:14) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. Listen to God; not man!

Question: Where does it say you are from your fathers the devil?

Answer: You will find it in the book of John where Christ was referring to the Kenites. Those who say they were Jews, but were not. They were of the synagog of Satan. (John 8:44) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Question: What is the job of the Elders in the church?

Answer: They should be well equipped teachers of the Word, able to discern truth from non-truth. They are to be good examples to the congregation. (I Timothy 5:17) Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. (I Peter 5:1-3) The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

Question: Does it say in the bible that woman should not be prostitutes?

Answer: Yes... But remember that a prostitute can be forgiven upon repentance. (Leviticus 19:29) Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness. The problem we have here is that much of the land has become full of wickedness.
