Question: Should we confess our sins to God, or to a
priest when we ask for forgiveness of our sins?
Answer: Always confess your sins to God and
repent. No man can forgive your sins or be your
mediator between you and God. Christ is our only
mediator and when you ask the Heavenly Father for
forgiveness, always ask in Jesus name.
Question: Can you tell me the scripture where it
says that God has foretold us all things?
Answer: You will find it in (Mark 13:23), where
Christ just warned us that false Christ's and false
prophets shall rise to seduce, if it were possible,
even the elect. You can also find this in the book
of Peter. (II Peter 3:16-17).
Question: Will our pets be with us in heaven when
they die and where can I find scripture that says
this?
Answer: Yes... God loves all His creations and
all will be in the eternity as we will. You can read
of it in (Isaiah 11:6-9). They will no longer be
carnivores and even the lion will lie with the lamb
in peace.
Question: Should we baptize in the name of Jesus,
or in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy
Spirit, or doesn't it make any difference?
Answer: This is a very controversial question,
and many believe that we should baptize in Jesus
name, while others believe that we should baptize in
the name of the Father, the Son, and the Hole
Spirit. The expression "in the name of" actually
means "by the authority of," "by the power of," "on
behalf of," etc. Lets go to some scripture and see
why there is so much controversy on the two.
And Jesus came and spake
unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them
to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the
end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20).
This is a direct command from Jesus, and this is the
way we baptize at the Good News Ministry.
However, in the book of Acts, we find that they
baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.
Then Peter said unto them,
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts
2:38). This command was given by Peter. Here
is another scripture in Acts:
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name
of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 19:5). I believe
this is where the controversy comes into play. I
think the most important thing is the baptism and
that in Jesus name or in the name of the Father,
Son, and the Holy Spirit would be a matter of
preference and both be acceptable to our Heavenly
Father.
Question: Where does it say that it
is God's will that we all will be saved?
Answer: You will find that it says
that God is "longsuffering" that we will all come to
repentance and not perish. (II Peter 3:9).
Question: Can you show me in the
bible where it says murderers and rapists should be
put to death?
Answer: You will find your answer in
(Deuteronomy 19:11-12, 22:25).
Question: In what book of the old
testament does it say that Satan will return in
peace to flatter everyone?
Answer: In (Daniel 11:21), it says
that he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the
kingdom by flatteries, but his kingdom will not
stand. (Daniel 11:24-25).
Question: Why is it that the wicked always seem to
get ahead?
Answer: Because it is hard to stand
upright and righteous in this world that Satan has
such a hold on. The scammers and greedy always get
ahead because they do not care who they hurt as long
as they benefit themselves. But, they will be cut
off soon at the return of Christ. (Psalm 37:34-40)
Question: Where does it say that God is like a
evergreen tree and is that why we put Christmas
trees in our homes?
Answer: You will find in (Hosea
14:8) that God says He is like a green fir tree. He
is that evergreen that represents eternal life and
that is why the Christmas tree is symbolic of the
tree of life which is Christ. Christ is the vine and
we are the branches in the family of God.
Question: What exactly is a righteous act? Is it
studying the bible? I understand that it is kindness
to others. What else constitutes a righteous act?
Answer: Yes, kindness to others is a
good start. Lets take a look at the word
righteousness. The Hebrew word for righteousness is
tseh'-dek, Strong's 6664—righteous,
integrity, equity, justice, straightness. The root
of tseh'-dek is tsaw-dak', Strong's
6663—upright, just, straight, innocent, true,
sincere. It is best understood as the product of
upright, moral action in accordance with some form
of divine plan. The two words that stand out the
most to me is integrity (honesty), and sincerity (in
good faith). Your righteous acts could be anything
from sharing a truth in God's Word, listening to
someone when they need your advice, helping someone
in a time of need, or just a smile to make someone's
day. But, remember... The key here is to be honest
and sincere. If it does not truly come from the
heart or is just for attention or gain, it is not a
righteous act. Also, when it comes to studying the
Word and sharing it with others, make sure that it
is a "truth" in the Word and not a false teaching or
tradition of men. God knows our hearts, so we cannot
fool Him when it comes to righteous acts.
Question: In I Corinthians 11:10 it says that woman
should have power over her head because of the
angels. What power and what angels is it talking
about?
Answer: Woman is to have power over
her head because of the fallen angels that will
return with Satan. The power on her head she is to
have is Christ. Because just as the fallen angels
took the daughters of Adam when they left their
habitation, they will return again looking to do the
same thing. Always keep Christ over your head
whether your a man or a woman. Think about it... The
fallen angels may have some trouble telling them
apart in today's generation.
Question: Where is it written that Christ is our
Passover?
Answer: You will find it in the Book
of Corinthians: Purge out
therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump,
as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover
is sacrificed for us. (I Corinthians 5:7)
Question: Are you a
Sabbath keeping ministry or Sunday keeping ministry?
Answer: Good
question on the Sabbath, and I know where you are
coming from. If I was to choose a specific day it
would be Sabbath keeping. But, as stated in Matthew
12:8, Mark 2:28, and Luke 6:5, Christ is Lord even
of the Sabbath. Sabbath simply means "day of rest,"
as God created the heavens and earth and rested on
the seventh day or Sabbath. I like to think of it as
Christ has become our day of rest or Sabbath. This
particular ministry being a online ministry,
worships every day in Christ. I believe every day
that one should or could find rest in Christ.
Whether it be praying to Him, thanking Him, or just
living our daily life in Him is rest and peace for
us and pleasing to Him. To read, or study and share
His Word will give you peace of mind and rest in
Him. So in a way, every day is the Sabbath when we
live as true Christians. This is just my opinion,
and I sincerely respect the way others may feel
about the Sabbath.
Question: Is it
possible that this Sabbath keeping website I visited
is correct in its understanding of prophecy, and
saying that Satan is going to use the Catholic
church again to slaughter peaceful Christians?
Answer: I have studied with Sabbath
keeping ministries, and they are not on to anything
new. It may be possible that Satan utilizes the
Papacy at his return, but it is far to obvious to
many. Satan is much smarter than that and I don't
think he would stop there. What about all the people
that do not believe in or have anything to do with
Catholicism? I believe Satan would deceive more
people with "rapture doctrine" at the present time,
because it is taught by many denominations and
churches. The problem with the rapture is that it
sets people up for the anti-Christ who returns first
pretending to be Christ. However... Whether Satan
utilizes a specific religious organization such as
the Papacy, or one world religious order that will
develop, we will just need to wait and see. Just
keep in mind that the anti-Christ comes first and
will deceive many. I do know that the Papacy has a
lot of power involvement in world affairs and the
one world religious order coming into play. Do not
be one that is deceived!
Question: Thank you for the
lovely website designed to educate people and
deliver truth of God's message. My question is do I
need to speak in unknown tongues to be saved?
Answer: Glad you enjoy the website
and we hope you will continue your studies with us.
All the glory goes to the Heavenly Father. As for
your question on unknown tongues. Do not let anyone
tell you that you need to speak in tongues to be
saved. This is not true and has nothing to do with
salvation or being a born again Christian. There is
no such thing as "unknown tongues" in the bible.
Where it is in the bible if you notice, it is
written in Italics which means it was added
by man. It is not in the original transcripts. The
word "tongue" simply means language; it also refers
to the "tongue" of Pentecost day that through the
Holy Spirit, everyone understood what was spoken in
their own language (dialect), on that day. (Tongue
in the Strong's Greek dictionary #1100 simply means
language). We have a study topic titled "The Tongue
of Pentecost" that will help you. |
